In the course shell, click on REPORTS to see the LOGS and COMPLETED ACTIVITIES.

 

COMMUNICATING WITH STUDENTS WITHIN MOODLE OR WITH QUICK MAIL

Sometimes it is easier to send an email from Outlook when communicating with your students. However, using the messaging within Moodle, or setting up announcements that will go to the email are the best practices. If you need to add an attachment, using the Quick Mail block will be the best practice.

 

TURN OFF NOTIFICATIONS IN MOODLE

If you or your students are receiving TOO MANY emails about changes made in your Open LMS Moodle Shell, you can adjust that. Watch this video to see how to turn off notifications or change them to be on the course shell only.

Your can use Turn It In for the forums, as well.

 

USE TURN IT IN DRAFT COACH IN MS O365

If a student uses WORD in Microsoft Office 365, he/she can click on the ADD IN tab and search for DRAFT COACH. After accepting the terms of agreement, a Turn It In tab will be on WORD. The student can then choose how he/she wants the document checked. There are THREE possible checks.

GUEST ACCESS TO YOUR COURSE SHELL

Use this tutorial to learn how to give the Administrative Tutor guest access to your course shell. The Tutor will not have access to the students nor their grades. They will only see the syllabus, the assignments, any videos or PowerPoints, and other important course information.
