Library Information for Students: Borrowing Privileges

Our library catalog will find articles, books, videos, and more at Brescia and worldwide.

Circulation Desk

We have numerous items available for checkout to faculty, staff, and students.

  • Students may check out an unlimited number of books from our general collection for 4-weeks at a time.
  • Items in our Reference Collection may be checked out for 7 days at a time. 
  • We also have bestsellers available for a 4-week checkout and DVDs that are either academic or popular in nature.
  • Music CDs are available as well.
  • Any questions concerning general borrowing privileges may be directed to Sarah Cox via email: sarah.cox@brescia.edu or phone 270-686-4212.

A variety of audio-visual equipment is available for use in the classroom or for academic purposes.

  • Some of the available options include laptops, headphones with microphones, webcams, digital cameras and camcorders just to name a few.
  • You may check out available audio-visual at the circulation desk.

Yes, you may renew your items. You may renew your items online by signing in to the online catalog and selecting "My Account" from the drop-down menu under your name. If you have not signed into the catalog before, please enter your 6-digit Brescia ID then select "set/reset password". Check your Brescia email for further instructions to set your own password and be returned to the catalog to finish signing in.

A current Brescia ID must be shown to check out any items at the Fr. Leonard Alvey Library.

Other Libraries

Brescia faculty, staff, administration, and students have borrowing privileges at Kentucky Wesleyan College, and Owensboro Community and Technical College with a current Brescia ID.

Brescia University is a member of the Federation of Kentucky Academic Libraries (FoKAL). Through this membership, current Brescia faculty, staff, administration, and students have borrowing privileges at all participating FoKAL libraries. A current Brescia ID must be presented.
